Beer Battered Fish Tacos

This dish was created for the subreddit, /r/52weeksofcooking, where the theme was “Batter”. Typically, I usually stay away from deep fried foods. Not for any health reason, even though that is a good one, but more because I have never been a huge fan of deep fried food. These fish tacos might have changed my mind. Not only was the whole taco delicious, the cod had an amazing flavour.

California Burrito

This dish was created for the subreddit, /r/52weeksofcooking, where the theme was “California Cuisine”. I grew up in California so when I saw this theme, I got a little nostalgic. Just the other week I was talking about how much I miss California burritos. I mean beans and rice are good and all but some times I want fries in my burrito. This definitely cured my craving for one and I am glad that I have enough to make a few more.

Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) with Beef

This dish was created for the subreddit, /r/52weeksofcooking, where the theme was “Thai”. I am just going to start to say that Thai food is one of my favourite cuisines, so much so that I constantly try to recreate it. Thus, why I had issue with this theme was trying to come up with something I have never attempted before. Then I remembered this small Thai place near my old work that made killer Pad Kee Mao. This dish also gave me a chance to try out my new wok that I have been meaning to break in.

Stuffed Jalapenos

I definitely dreaded this theme since my plating is kind of crap so I decided to make something simple and tried to make it prettier. Enter these Jalapenos stage right. These can go well as a side dish or if you are like me, just scarf them down for no damn reason.

Sloppy Joes

This dish was created for the subreddit, /r/52weeksofcooking, where the theme was “Cafeteria Food”. As soon as I read this theme, I immediately thought of those really terrible sloppy joes from primary school which I am sure was just some sort of meat and ketchup. Well I decided to make it better and was very successful. Maybe it had a slight nostalgic effect but either way my SO and I devoured this.

I plan to eat this for days because of how good it is. It might look like a pain due to the waiting and simmering time but I barely noticed it.
