California Burrito

This dish was created for the subreddit, /r/52weeksofcooking, where the theme was “California Cuisine”. I grew up in California so when I saw this theme, I got a little nostalgic. Just the other week I was talking about how much I miss California burritos. I mean beans and rice are good and all but some times I want fries in my burrito. This definitely cured my craving for one and I am glad that I have enough to make a few more.

Gluehwein

This drink was prepared for the subreddit, /r/52weeksofcooking, where the theme was “whole spices”. I have been making a version of this for years and it was one of my favourite things to drink when I was visiting Germany but I decided to make it a little bit different based on some searching on the internets. This is really good but it does sneak up on you alcohol wise because of how easy it is to drink. It is great for cold fall and winter nights.

Hazelnut-Crusted Salmon

This dish was prepared for the subreddit, /r/52weeksofcooking, where the theme was “Rep Your Region”, and since I live in Portland, Salmon and Hazelnuts fit in quite well. I was fairly hesitant for this dish due to the use of mayo on the Salmon but damn I was surprised. The flavour was really good and the fish stayed nice and juicy. Went great with an Oregon white wine :). Also went well with some Garlic Parmesan Rice.
