This dish was created for the subreddit, /r/52weeksofcooking, where the theme was “Korean”. I am going to be honest, the first time I had a Bibimbap was just because I had no idea what it was and I wanted to say it out loud. Damn was I glad I did. This is definitely one of my favourite dishes because you get such different flavours in each bite. That being said, this was much easier to make than I would have thought and I got to try to use my Sous Vide to try and make a soft poached egg!

Kimchi Ramen

This dish was created for the subreddit, /r/52weeksofcooking, where the theme was “Dorm Food”. I never stayed in a dorm but I did eat cheaply during college. The one dish that stood out was top ramen with an egg. I decided to recreate this but with a dish that I actually want to eat and I love ramen.

This dish was created for the subreddit, /r/52weeksofcooking, where the theme was “Middle East”. This one had to take some thinking because admittedly, I do not know a lot about middle eastern foods and the ones I do know, I have made before. Then I stumbled across this and everything about it sounded delicious. Poached eggs in spices and tomatoes, I am in. I overcooked the eggs a tad bit but other than that this was really good. I could see my self eating this for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Nasi Lemak

This dish was prepared for the subreddit, /r/52weeksofcooking, where the theme was “Malaysian” and my second theme was “breakfast”. When I came across these two themes, I was a bit worried. I did not know any Malaysian dishes yet alone breakfast dishes so this one took a little researching. I found on a few sites that suggested this was a breakfast dish but after making it, I felt that it was a bit involved to be a breakfast dish. Maybe I am just lazy in the morning. Also, I am not the biggest anchovy fan but I really liked this.

Ricotta Pancakes

This morning I woke up and could not think of what to make for breakfast and realised that I pretty much only had ingredients for pancakes. Then I remembered that I still had some ricotta from the meatballs I made last week. I’ve put different things in pancakes (I love pancakes) but never ricotta. That being said, whenever I buy ricotta, I will always buy extra to save for pancakes. These were delicious! The ricotta does not really give them a cheesy flavour but rather more of a creamy texture. They were very fluffy and the inside basically just melted in your mouth.

When I was in Europe, I noticed crepes of different formats in every country I went to. Now, they are starting to become vastly more popular where I live. It started as 1 or 2 restaurants and now they are everywhere. Savory Crepes. Sweet Crepes. All crepes all the time. I decided to try my hand at them since they are absolutely delicious. How can you not like basically a thin pancake stuffed or topped with delicious ingredients? They were surprisingly simple to make and are very versatile based on what you add with it. Normally I prefer savory crepes but I decided to go sweet this time around.

Breakfast Pizza

I asked my girlfriend what she wanted me to make for breakfast and she told me she was craving Pizza. Now, I don’t think she was answering my question but I went with it anyway and I am glad I did. This was a perfect morning dish but it could be just that I want pizza all the damn time. The egg was the only ingredient that I was worried about but it definitely went well with the whole dish.
