Cedar-planked salmon has been around forever so it is not necessarily a fad food so I was going to go for a low carb dish. I have had cedar-planked salmon before but never made it myself and after making it, I cannot imagine why. It is so easy to do and it makes it absolutely delicious. It does take some time but the majority of the time is just waiting for the salmon to cure and marinate.

While I usually do not go for chicken when cooking, I have always had a soft spot for wings, drumsticks, and thighs. Also, the fact that these were cooked “St. Louis” style intrigued me because I want to go to St. Louis just for the food. Hell, I have traveled for worse reasons before.

Just the other week I was talking about how much I miss California burritos. I mean beans and rice are good and all but some times I want fries in my burrito. This definitely cured my craving for one and I am glad that I have enough to make a few more.

While the homemade BBQ sauce satisfied the first theme, this completed dish definitely was comfort food.
