Breakfast Pizza

This was prepared for the subreddit, /r/52weeksofcooking, where the theme was “pizza”. This was another theme where I was fairly disappointed. Not because I do not like pizza but because I like it too much that I have made it many times. One of my favourite things to do with my friends is to have pizza night where I will make the dough, people bring toppings, and we just gorge ourselves on pizza. Then I remember seeing breakfast pizzas around the internet and thought I might as well try it.

Recipe for the Dough

Recipe for the Pizza Sauce

1/2 Recipe of Pizza Dough
1/4 Recipe of Pizza Sauce
1/2 Cup Feta Cheese , crumbled
1 Medium Roma Tomato
1/4 lb Hot Italian Sausage
4 Large Eggs
1/2 Cups Mozzarella Cheese , grated
1 Tablespoon Corn Meal
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil


  1. Place a cast iron skillet in the oven and preheat to 450 degrees.
  2. Brown Sausage in a small skillet and set aside.
  3. Stretch Pizza Dough into a round shape.
  4. Slice the Tomato and set aside.
  5. Remove the preheated cast iron skillet from the oven. Add the Corn Meal and place the Pizza Dough on it.
  6. Place the Pizza Sauce on the dough, followed my the Pizza Sauce, Feta Cheese, Sausage, sliced Tomatoes, raw Eggs, and Mozzarella Cheese. Brush Olive Oil on to Dough
  7. Bake until cheese is melted and dough is golden brown (about 15 minutes).
