Fire and Ice Salsa

This dish was the second part of a dish I prepare for the subreddit, /r/52weeksofcooking, where the theme was melons. This is a very basic dish; think of pico de gallo but substitute the tomato for watermelon. At first, that did not sound very good at all but it is actually very delicious.

Summary

  • Course: side dish
  • Cooking Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

3   Cups Chopped Watermelon
1/2 Cup Chopped Green Bell Pepper
2 Tablespoons Lime Juice
3 Tablespoons Chopped Cilantro
1 Tablespoon Chopped Green Onions
1 Tablespoon Chopped Ghost Chili
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Salt

Steps

  1. In a large bowl combine all ingredients.
  2. Mix well and serve with chips.

I used a ghost chili because I have an abundance but you could use any type of pepper. Serrano would be good.
